It doesn't seem proper for Nigeria, a regional power in Africa to have been excluded from the G20 meeting in London. I thought that we used to be included in the previous meetings, but lately we were not invited to this one. The president, Yaradua said he was surprised about the situation and would have expected that we be included given that we are the 8th largest nation in terms of population and have a growing economy. Nigeria is also listed as one of the countries in the Next eleven (A group of developing countries that are expected to shape the future of the world economy).
I was surprised that Nigeria was not invited although South Africa was. Perhaps, the world thinks little of us or maybe we have not yet proved our worth.

Well, Yaradua should stop travelling cos he has a lot of work to do at home. What is he going to G20 to talk about? Ordinary to bail out the Nigerian stock market, the FG has not said anything. Ok now that the G20 has talked about bailing the world's economy with $1 trillion dollars to the IMF, what is he going to do. For now, we need to think inwards. We are too por to be thinking of how to save the world, let's save ourselves first.
