As you must have known, JAMB - The official examining body saddled with the responsibility of conducting the yearly UME and PolyJamb for students wishing to enter higher institutions in Nigeria.
Now UME and Polyjamb have been combined together and re-christened the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) which will now be a single examination for admission into;


  • Polytechnics

  • Monotechnics

  • Colleges of Education

  • Specialised Institutions

  • Universities


UTME online registration is being carried out now by students wishing to gain admission into these higher institutions as UTME scratch cards are being sold for N4600 at participating banks and agents. The online registration for 2010 UTME had started early in the year and after having been postponed, the deadline for online registration is now officially set at Monday February 15, 2010.
A lot of people have been worried about being able to meet the deadline due to their inability to get logged in or complete their registration at the UTME website - www.jambutme.com
Students have been advised to keep trying or check back when the JAMB server would have been much faster in attending to requests.

The JAMB UTME is the first of its kind and will probably be the only exam JAMB will be conducting this year for it's numerous candidates. This is a great innovation and will help ease off the burden on students who have to buy different examination forms and preparing for it when they can now buy just a unified form for multiple entries.
The UTME will be held at a fixed date this year on April 17, 2010 as JAMB has already advertised this officially on the media.

Are You preparing to write the UTME this year and are yet to register, well you just have less than 6 days to do so.

    I hope I get admission this year. UTME or Jamb should do something to help students guarantee an admission without having to waster many years outside school

    Pls let jamb publicize the cut-off mark for each course nd let all candidates prepare well 4 d exam and not put themselves under unneccesary tension. I think it is not good for jamb 2 show dat these institutions are superior 2 each other by their cut-off measure
