I had only 11 channels without the bba5 and so I did a rescan and got the BBA5 channel as the 12th. Now the problem is activating it on my phone. It requests for a password since it is locked based on parental control and so anyone who wanted to watch it via mobile would have to enter the pass code.
The Big brother Africa 5 all stars begins today, the 18th of July and you can watch it on a dedicated channel on your DSTV either on your mobile or connected TV. I would still have to call customer service to unlock the service for my phone.

No Felix, all u need to do is go to setting in the mobileTv and change the parental control to 18...but you should know u need to have the security code of the phone to change the parental control...default code is 12345
Thanks man. It helped to remove that first barrier. Now it is asking me to purchase content before viewing. I guess it will sort itself out later on. My brother is actually watching BBA on his Nokia N96 but unlike mine, which shows other channels, BBA is the only channel showing on his mobile
if your device says purchase content go to subscriptions and choose retrieve it would restore your channels
pls what do i do to anable me watch bi brother. corrently channel 198 is not on my channel list

As was explained, just do a rescan of your mobile tv and the channel will be showing
Even after the steps above the message returned is'unable to retrieve'
You can try retrieving it again. Maybe the signal is not yet available. You can still call mtn customer service on 180

It may be that you must have changed the default code into something else or you may not be using the Nokia 5300. You should still call MTN customer service
ive every thing i cant still watch,its keep telling me i need to purchace b/4 viewing.what can i do next

Only big brother is showin now on my phone but other channels have dissappeared, why?
Did you get the settings directly from MTN or you configured it yourself?

It is supposed to be for free. Maybe by the time you set up yours, bba was not yet on. I think the best thing is to have mtn customer service do it for you if you have tried retrieving your subscriptions and it still does not work

I tried getting BBA on my mobile even though I have it at home but could not get the parental control for which Multichoice website I visited asked me to go to any Nokia Care office. With your que.and ans, I was able to achieve it.

To start watching BBA on your dstv moblile, simply follow the steps below:
1. Make sure you have above N100 credit in your phone before you begin the process, because you need it to purchase BBA channel addition.
2. Delete all your channels by going to options while TV is active.
3. Once this is done, the phone automatically rescans for new channels.
4. Purcase the new item.
5. If you have challenges with code while trying to watch BBA channel, enter 12345 if you have not changed the security code of your phone. This code is as a result of your parental control on your phone that is set at 16. Change parental control in options to 18 to stop seeing the message.
Happy viewing and make sure CHILDREN ARE NOT ALLOWED TO WATCH. Lol

I was actually thinking in the same direction, that is - maybe it was due to lack of credit that some users have not been able to get bba on their mobile because I've found out that it requires a mobile internet service before activating mobile dstv.

Thank God, I finally was able to activate my big brother channel on my Nokia 5330. I followed a tip from poster 23(Adefolami) and it worked. You can learn more about how I did it here
Pls i have 12 chanels including bba and ss4, if i try to view ss4 it keeps tellin me that this chanel has been purchasd wait until deliverd. And bba also keep telin me this content need to be purchasd b4 viewin, and if i say ok purchase notin wil still show. Also i want to get chanel that can show foregn movies.Pls help am missin out.
Why don't you delete all the current channels and try to purchase a new subscription. That should work

Thanx man...Thank God, I finally was able to activate my big brother channel on my Nokia 5330. i just typed in 12345 and oops!am connected.simple stuff..However is there a possibility of using my dstvmobile via a laptop.
As far as I know, I have not seen or hear of anyone connecting dstv mobile to laptop. Unless, nokia builds a device or software for that. The closest I know is about connecting your stored videos on a Nokia N90 to your tv but not live tv only saved videos
