The Super Eagles coach, Samson Siasia has been sacked and it seems that this is part of the Football Federation's attempt in restructuring the Super Eagles after their dismal performance in Abuja for a Nation's cup qualifier they failed to win. By all standards, the Nigerian team was expected to win but failed to do so. After a period of investigation into the issue, it appears that he has been relieved of his job and a former colleague of his has been named as acting coach. Stephen Keshi is the man expected to take over his job for the mean time until a new coach is confirmed for the Super Eagles who have been having a string of misfortunes to the dismay of Nigerian fans who now prefer calling them Super Chickens. Although some people preferred Siasia to remain as coach but others equally expected the big hammer to fall as change is necessary to keep our team afloat and relevant as a football nation. Heads were meant to roll when cases of poor perfomance like this occurs. Too bad it was Siasia that had to take the blame for now. We hope that the Eagles would now sit up and do the right thing.
