    JOSEPH AYO BABALOLA UNIVERSITY
    IKEJI-ARAKEJI, OSUN STATE

    PRESS STATEMENT
This is to inform the general public and all stakeholders of Joseph Ayo Babalola University, Ikeji Arakeji, Osun State that the operational licence of the University, which was suspended by the National Universities Commission (NUC) on Wednesday, 4th July, 2012, has been restored by the Commission. This was made known through a letter from the NUC: NUC/ES/259/Vol.I/219, dated July 16th, 2012, duly signed by the Commission Deputy Executive Secretary, A.S. Agbaoye, and addressed to the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Sola Fajana.

This Press Statement becomes imperative as JABU was among 7 private universities whose licences were suspended by the NUC.

With this news, the University Management, through the help of the Board of Trustees and Governing Council, swung into consultations with the NUC. Coupled with these were several efforts made to align with the Commissionís directives.

The University Management has resumed immediately the 2012/2013 admission process, which was stalled owing to the development. We also use this medium to notify our prospective candidates, who are yet to apply to do so as soon as possible.

Joseph Ayo Babalola University is poised to provide both moral and intellectual education to our young leaders of tomorrow who pass through its corridors. It is well positioned to coin out a household name for itself, not only in Nigeria, but Africa and the world at large.

As the first Entrepreneurial University in Nigeria, we are not only developing students morally, but also instilling godly values in them and making them marketable after they might have acquired at least one skill from the University.

The Management would like to appreciate all those who stood behind us throughout the momentary stormy period. We thank the C.A.C. leadership, members of the Board of Trustees, Governing Council, Vice-Chancellors, the media, banks especially Wema Bank Plc., parents, staff, JABU alumni, students and every other stakeholder of the University. We are unreservedly grateful for your moral support and unalloyed solidarity during the period.

The entire public is however enjoined to visit our website: www.jabu.edu.ng, for more updates on our programmes.

    Signed:
    Barrister Wale Aderibigbe

The recent decision of the govt to seek to arrest pst Tunde Bakare is senseless. It's going to spark up a religious catastroph, trust me. Buhari & Atiku made incriminating violence insghting speeches nd they've not been arrested bcos they know secrets of the arresters. Again the house of assembly wants to move against the pulpit preachers. It won't work because they are all about to enter their graves. Grass can't challenge God. America has done it & now she's finally gone down, watch it. No nation fights God's people & survives. Division is evident I can see it coming fast.
