When it comes to online shopping, there are a lot of USA websites where you can get the best deals and prices. Nothing for now beats shopping online for US products and shipping them to Nigeria.

In the past, it was really hard for Nigerians to shop for goods on the internet and on US stores without a Visa or Mastercard since it was not readily available as there were no credit card issuers in Nigeria yet. Now getting a debit or credit card in Nigeria for online shopping is a thing of the past as practically all banks I know of now issue them.

So what's the next problem? It is the issue of getting items shipped to Nigeria after you must have done some shopping. How do you get items you paid for at US stores shipped to Nigeria? Well truth is that most online US stores prefer shipping only to US regions and they do it much quicker because they trust the US govt would protect their goods in cases or fraud or credit card back charge-backs. So the thing is that most online merchants prefer shipping to US addresses only and not internationally or more especially to nations like Nigeria. Although some of them do ship a few cheap items like books, t shirts and so on. However, as far as I know, most online US store don't ship to Nigeria directly and that's why the best way to get your goods down here is to simply get an agent to do it for you.

There is this company called MyUS that allows people around the world to shop online at US stores and get it shipped to their countries and all you need to do is pay them a commission for receiving and re-shipping your goods.

Things you will need to shop and ship to Nigeria
- An internet connection
- A visa or Mastercard
- A MyUS account
- A buyer's account

Getting a shipping address is quite easy with MyUS as all you need to do is sign up and verify your details. You can then choose a membership plan such as a 1 year plan or pay as you use. The other fees you have to pay are for dhl shipping to Nigeria which is normally based on weight(kg).
