It's true that after the last general elections, the AC has proven to be te most outspoken
opposition party criticizing effectively the activities of the ruling PDP, but the results after
the election showed that the AC did not have a nationwide appeal but merely based in few states
The PDP came first, then the ANPP after which the AC came a distant third. The ANPP is
practically running a unity govt with the PDP engaging in a more diplomatic and participative
capacity to Yaradua while the AC is engaging in an aggressive opposition. The AC however doesn't
appear to be a reasonable threat to the ruling People's Democratic party.

AC is growing stronger and wants to take over the entire south west in the next governorship election.
