You should know what i mean when i say Okada. Okada in the Nigerian context does not refer to Igbinedion's Okada wonderland in Edo state, but i mean the commercial Motorcycle operators in Nigeria which are increasing in thousands monthly across every Nigerian state which his now experiencing exponential growth and their increase is becoming a major problem for urban devlopers. Every city you go, there is Okada everywhere and even on supposed pedestrians' path Okada has taken over. They are like a club which i gaining a lot of membership from the poor who ae eagerly looking for a way to escape poverty to feed their family. Thay make sufficient money to provide for their needs even though it's the leading victim of road accidents in the country. I don't mind that people drive Okada t osurvive the harsh economy but what bothers me is that human beings are no longer respected or valued on the roads. The various paths that are menat for people to walk is being taken over by Okada men and it's like a physical fight between man and machine. The Okada drivers hould be called to order and let them follow the normal road wherever they go without harrassing human beings who are wlaking on their own path out of the way. More pedestrian paths should be created for people to walk and Okada drivers should be restricted from crossing this path.
