Cathlolics have more than a millenium age old tradition of the rites through which sins are primarily forgiven, in the sacrament or confession a.k.a. Penance. Pentecostals however believe that it is only God who can forgive sins directly and there was no need for confessing your sins to a priest before gaining sanctification. These views are so wide and Pentecostals think that Catholics are holding on to old traditions which hinder the effective dissemination of Christ's gospel as it ought to be done.

Yes, it's true. Even Jesus gave the authority to forgive sins to his apostles before he lfet in human form when he sain in John 20:23, whoseoever sins you forgive they are forgiven and this has been passed down to the Catholic priests who are Christ's representative.

that was thesam questio that they asked Jesus when he told that sick man, your sins are forgiven, but today, Jesus has changed all that by giving Priests the power to do like he did.
