I read that the president Yaradua has advised the north to think of alternative means to grow their wealth rather that depending on oil revenue. I really agree with his thinking. I even think that the Norht should sopt wasting their time in looking for oil in those dry areas and rather develop themselves in the areas where they are already strong such as agriculture and manpower. It would be almost impossible to find oil in the north as much as there is in the south and they should not see oil as something that they can compete with the south for. The south has abundant oil and it's not what the north should be looking to compete with them for by still looking for oil. It would be better they look for alternatives like biofuel and education for their children because education is power. Without education, the North may really suffer in the future. They should encourage their children to go to school because they could be loosing out in the future when the south has millions of young children who are already very good in class.

They should stop digging for oil in the north and spend their resources on something else
