The trails of the US Politics over the last few months captivated my entire being, just like I think it would any person filled with passion of hope and breakthrough for his/her nation; most especially for a mind that has always lived to think about what posterity will have of him/her after he/she quits from existence.
By trailing the course of the latest US Politics, I could see a people who have what it takes to be called a NATION. I saw Politicians, who still put their country first, even in the pursuit of their own dreams and aspirations. I saw a generation whose actions and speeches inspired all mankinds that were therewith attentive, involved or even care to listen. The core of the AMERICAN LIFE is the LOVE OF THE COUNTRY. That is all they sing, even in their moments of disagreements and crisis.
Mr Editor, would you be kind enough to ask first yourself, all Nigerians and most especially our POLITICIANS, this simple question - DO YOU TRUELY LOVE NIGERIA? I mean LOVE FOR ONES NATION, such that yields a FEARLESS AND COURAGEOUS IDENTIFICATION with ones route regardless of any compelling circumstances.
Finally, I got swept off my feet with great outpouring of my emotions, that very moment BARACK OBAMA made HISTORY; but I actually wept beyond BARACK'S history making. Infact, I wept more for my country Nigeria; an emotional outpour climaxed by unconsciously thinking aloud and saying "NIGERIA, WHERE IS YOUR HOPE AND FUTURE?"
