Prof Ndi Okereke Onyiuke may have bitten more than she could chew in promoting an organisation that raises funds to support their Africans for Obama organisation. She is the chariman of the group and was recently reported to have been arrested by the EFCC and i suppose it's just for the routine investigation. When the EFCC recieves a petition or they suspect fraud, they are bound to query such acts. But has Ndi really commited a civil or criminal offence? I don't think so, cos she acted within her rights in floating a free social organisation that shares the Obama vision. They may not necessarily be supporting Obama or if they do, they are within their own roghts. They had a luncheon in which they raised close to N100,000,000 and mouths are talking. But she didn't say that they were raising it for the Obama campaign directly. If they've got good auditors who would give a good report of what they'll do with the money, they can't be held responsible for fraud. They could use it for charity purposes like educational or seminar activities to spread the word about the OBAMA vision. EFCC is only investigating if they would use the money for their personal interests, that's all and i guess they want their own cut too. NDI and her team are within their rights in floating that organisation

But Ndi really tried, nothing she did was illegal. If this was in the United states, EFCC would not be looking for the money and it really is all about the money, not the legality.
