I am using this medium to first thank the members of the movement of the emancipation of niger delta MEND for their resilience in their fight for justice for the niger delta despite federal government sponsored criminals who infiltrate your ranks to give you bad name, thank you once again for sustaining the struggle till better deal is achieved for the people of the oil rich region. From the ongoing military campaign by the Joint Task Force and zero budgetary for the niger delta development, umaru ya'adua have nothing to offer the region except pains and agony to the already impoverished people. So majority of articulate youth from the region are calling on you to dislocate the nigeria source of strength to buy weapons. That is the total destruction of oil pipelines and oil facilities. With that done umaro ya'adua will open genuine negotiation that will enable us to realise justice and equity in Nigeria.

But really, is the President not being caring enough to offer amnesty to Niger delta militants. I mean, if it was in the military days, they would just order a total eradication of the rebellion, but because it is in a democracy, the past and present Nigerian leaders have been more than lenient in offering to help the people of this area. It only came to this point because Nigeria's very source of survival has been threatened. How would we feel if the govt has no money to fulfil the budget. With the recession and the dwindling oil resources, the Niger delta militants are still blowing up and rigging the country. They should know that Nigeria belongs to everybody and any oil we discovered, we did so as Nigeria and not as seperate entities, oil bunkering is selfish and kidnapping and other sorts of crimes would only reduce the population of the Niger Delta people because in reality, Niger Delta militants would not be able to defeat Nigeria in a full blown war, so they should know that it is no longer in fashion to keep on keeping training camps and accept this opportunity for amnesty. What this amnesty means is that those who are know officially to be militants and voluntarily accept to repent and embrace peace, the federal govt would not charge them to court for any of the evils they may have committed in the past as a militant. Even if they don't fear rebelling against the Federal republic of Nigeria, at least, for the sake of religion, they should fear God and stop the evil.
